Robert Neely, Sr.

Robert Harmon “Bob” Neely, Sr. age 73, of Vancleave, MS passed away on August 29, 2021 in Ocean Springs, MS.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Burwell Neely and Olivia Dains; and his sister, Louellen Neely Rivard.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 38 years, Willie Mae Neely; his children, Robert Harmon Neely, Jr. and his wife Juliette, and William Allen Neely; his siblings, Wanda Roark (Roger) of Batson, TX; Bobbie Nell Scott (Jim) of Arp, TX; Debbie Sue Bogart Keizer, OR; Charlene Cain (Jason) of Ashland City, TN; Frank Neely of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Robert Hayden Neely, Matthew Brayden Neely, Jackson Brantley Neely, Dean Adam Neely and Alexa Page Tatum; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Bob was a high school graduate, and worked in his earlier years for the Floatation Company in New Iberia as the captain of a Jack-up Boat, before working for both Yates construction and Ingal’s Shipbuilding.  He loved to go out dancing and loved spending time with his family.

God took him home.  It was his will but in our hearts, we love him still.  His memories are as dear today as in the day he passed away.  A billion times we’ve cried, but if love could have saved him, he never would have died.
