Robert Ford

Robert Nathaniel Ford age 79, a native of Erwin, TN and resident of D’Iberville, MS passed away on January 25, 2021 in Biloxi, MS.
Robert Ford went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ. He was a man of God who adored his wife and children. He was a very proud man of his Church, Popp’s Ferry Baptist Church, and considered his cat sky, his best friend. Robert was a very smart man full of knowledge of History and Christianity. He knew the Lords word like the back of his hand, and it was etched in his heart. He is a man of God saved by GRACE, and will be forever missed by his family.
Robert was a high school graduate, with many college courses and retired from the United States Air Force. He was a survivor of the Vietnam War. After retirement he worked as a dietician and transportation representative of VA services. He was a deacon at Popp’s Ferry Baptist Church, a member of the Moose Lodge, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. Ford and Bonnie C. Ford; and his granddaughter, Katelyn Catchot.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Frances Ford of D’Iberville; his children, Krystal Catchot (Shawn Tolito), Kelli Ford, Charlie Catchot (Brooke); his siblings, Rose Mary and Joe Devore of Kingston, TN; his grandchildren Elizabeth Gutzeit, Reidar Gutzeit, III. a.k.a. Buddy/Rubin; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service with his daughter-in-law Brook Catchot playing and singing his favorite hymn, Amazing Grace, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd in West Jackson County. A private interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
