Robert Paul Murks

Robert Paul Murks, age 58, of Gulfport passed away on November 12, 2010. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska on March 11, 1952 to Archie and Rubye Murks.
He graduated from Gulfport East High school and attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Jeff Davis. Paul was employed with the United States Postal Service in Gulfport and retired with 35 years of service. He was member of Fernwood Baptist Church.
He was a loving father, a loving son, a loving brother, and a wonderful friend. Paul was a die hard sports fan, he supported the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Braves. He was an avid record/music collector, and his favorites included The Beatles and Bob Dylan.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Archie Murks.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Murks (Bradley) of Biloxi and Hayley Murks of Gulfport; his grandson, Kameron Smith of Biloxi; his mother, Rubye Murks of Gulfport; two brothers, Wayne Murks (Kitty) of Covington, LA and Michael Murks of Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:30 p.m., where friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until the service, Monday, November 15, 2010 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi.
In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Lou Gehrigs (ALS Association) at www.alsa.org, or Fernwood Baptist Church Children's Fund, Gulfport.
