Robert E. Mobley, 87, a resident of Biloxi, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 in Biloxi.
Mr. Mobley was born in Monticello, Arkansas and grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Mobley was an architect, and moved to the Gulf Coast in 1990 with his loving wife of 61 years, Jean to share their retirement. He was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Loaves and Fishes, and was a caring and giving member of First United Methodist Church in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Roberts Mobley; parents, Jack H. Mobley and Goldye S. Mobley; and three brothers, Jack, Benjamin, and Stewart Mobley.
He is survived by his children, David Robert Mobley and Carolyn Jean Goerlich; granddaughter, Stacy Palmer; good friends, Barbara Turner of Ocean Springs, Jane Morrison of Biloxi, Glenn Seabourn and Gene Staton, both of Arkansas; close friends and caregivers, Michael and Angie Broussard; and many other close friends.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. The Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
