Commander Robert “Bob” Seay McLemore, USNR, Retired, age 77, passed away on September 28, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Bob was born on August 12, 1947, in Sylacauga, Alabama to Howard Unice McLemore and Addie Mae Cosper. When he was a young child, his parents moved to Mobile, Alabama. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Murphy High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he graduated in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Shortly after that, he entered the U.S. Navy’s flight training program. In 1990, he retired from the U.S. Navy, and he began his civilian career ultimately retiring as a Captain with the Forsyth County (Georgia) Sheriff’s Department.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter, Raylah Nicole McLemore. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Ann McLelland McLemore; his daughter, Holly Lynn (Shawn) Sparks; his son, Kelly Seay McLemore; his grandson, Kyle Seay Allen McLemore; and his brother, Howard Cosper McLemore (Mary Beth).

A reception will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home Event Center, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. The graveside service will follow the reception at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
