Robert "Bobby" Loper

Robert ""Bobby"" Loper, age 93, of Gulfport, passed away on November 13, 2014 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Martin Loper and Annie Laura Stewart Loper; and two sisters, Bonnie Bommer and Bessie Saucier.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ruth Loper of Gulfport; five children, Marsha Sharpe of Virginia, Charlotte Loper of Pennsylvania, Michael Loper of Florida, Gary Loper and Kerry Loper, both of Gulfport; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran where he served in the Pacific Theater. He worked and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves and Federal Civil Service.
Bobby attended Grace Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Dodge Memorial Bible Class until his health failed. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved gardening as well.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 1:00 PM until the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
