Robert Lohre

Robert J. Lohre, age 76 and a resident of Pass Christian, died on Sunday, November 25, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Lohre was a native of Covington, KY and had been a former resident of Fort Mitchell, KY. He had been a resident of Pass Christian for the past 10 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian where he was an active member in the St. Vincent dePaul Society. He was a loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
Mr. Lohre was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Margaret Heidkamp Lohre and his brother, Thomas Lohre.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Virginia Lohre of Pass Christian; his sons, Michael Lohre of Waton, KY, Joseph Lohre of Augusta, GA, and James Lohre of Lakeside Park, KY; his daughters, Theresa Bantle of Burlington, KY, Ann Lohre of Saudi Arabia, and Betsy LaSorella of Ft. Mitchell, KY; his brother, James Lohre of Garland, TX and 14 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 10:00am at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian. A private burial will be held at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society c/o Holy Family Church, 22342 Evangeline Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
