Robert Alcide Juneau,Sr.

Robert Juneau, Sr., age 81, of Pass Christian, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Autin; his second wife, Marguerite Bosley; son, Carlos Rene` Juneau, Sr.; parents, Alcide Joseph Juneau, Jr., and Mary Mae Lacomb; sisters, Trudy Juneau Autin, and Kimberly Juneau Quartermount.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (Laura) Juneau, Jr., of Pass Christian, MS, and Burt (Rene`) Juneau of Long Beach, MS; daughters, Michelle Juneau, and Patty (John) Ladner, both of Pass Christian, MS; sister, Susan Juneau of Hesmer, LA; brothers, Ronald Cook of Fl, Bruce (Anne) Cook also of FL, and Terry (Diane) Cook of AL; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a native of Marksville, LA residing in Pass Christian. He served in The United States Navy aboard The USS Forrestal as an E3 Seaman. He was a retired tugboat captain, a Christian and a Conservative.

He enjoyed French music, woodworking, visiting with his children and grandchildren, his best friend, Larry Brown, and having a good conversation. Robert loved The New Orleans Saints and made a mean seafood gumbo. He was extremely proud of his Cajun heritage and thought the world of his dogs. Robert loved his family, and his hero was his grandfather, Henri St. Romaine.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to everyone who left a lasting impact on Robert's life.

Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln-Delisle Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
