Robert “Bob” Price Jones, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on January 5, 1943, in Tallapoosa, Alabama, and a longtime resident of Long Beach, Mississippi, Bob built a successful career as an insurance adjuster and real estate appraiser, proudly running his own business.

Bob had a lifelong love of baseball and golf, and cherished time spent with his family. Some of his greatest joys came from watching his grandchildren play sports, and being surrounded by loved ones. He shared many memorable Thanksgivings in Captiva with his parents, Bertis and Gordon Taylor. In his early years, Bob was a talented drummer and played in a band called The Collegiates. He also enjoyed being a part of the Biloxi Marching Club, where he formed lifelong friendships and memories.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Jones; his father, Gordon Taylor; his daughters, Debbie Wiley and Kim West; his son, Patrick Sutherlin Jr., "Tanya"; and his treasured grandchildren: Logan, Dawson, Gavin, Cisco, Sadie, Corey, Kristen, KayLeigh, and Alex. He also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertis Taylor, and his brother, Wendell Jones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church. Visitation for family will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by visitation for friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will begin at noon. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Riemann Family Funeral Home.

Bob will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love for music and sports, and the deep love he held for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and quiet strength that will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 pm. Interment is in St. James Cemetery.
