Robert Grandville Hover, age 75 of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Roy Hover and Marietta Hover.
Robert is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lawrence Hover; his stepdaughter, Bridget Nicole Moak; his sisters, Lindal (Donald) Dawsey of Pearlington, MS and Dottie (Mike) Peterson of Pearl River, LA; his sister-in-law, Melva Ann Lawrence; his nephews, Donnie Dawsey, David Dawsey, Gabe Peterson and Caleb Peterson; and his nieces, Jessica Peterson Thevenot and Victoria Peterson Nobles.
A native of Pearlington, MS, Bobby attended Bay High School. He was an over the road truck driver. He had a deep love for the Lord. Bobby loved listening to church on tv and reading his Bible. He loved his family so much and had many interests and hobbies. He loved growing a garden and cooking. He enjoyed going to Crusin’ the Coast. When he was younger, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going fishing. He also enjoyed collecting Hot-Wheels and sports cards. He had a love for musical instruments, and he always wanted to play. Bobby loved talking about old times and had many good stores to tell. He was a very special husband, brother and uncle. He is going to be missed. Because he loved Jesus, he is still alive. We get our peace from knowing he is in Heaven where Jesus has prepared a place for him.
