Robert P. Harris, Sr., age 95 and a resident of Gulfport, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Zoa Harris, second wife, Frances Harris, sons, Robert P. Harris, Jr. and Harry B. """"Bucky"""" Harris, Sr., and brother, George Harris.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Velma Willis; sisters-in-law: Mildred Krohn, Edna Krohn, Laura Cain, Alice Nell Rushing, and Sara Barnes; brother-in-law, Tommy Roberts; grandchildren: Harry B. """"Bucky"""" Harris, Jr., Robert B. Harris, and Jasmine Lee Harris; daughter-in-law: Charlene Harris; and great-grandchildren: Nicholas Harris, Kadie Harris, Gabriel Harris, and Schyler Harris.
Mr. Harris enjoyed fishing, giving his catch away to others, and made his own cast nets.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Biloxi. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
