Robert O. Grissom, age 81 and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Grissom was born on October 30, 1926 in Selma, AL and was a longtime resident of Gulfport. He was also a retired plumber.
Mr. Grissom is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip & Martha Ann Grissom, his brothers, Herbert Grissom, Roy Grissom, Melburn Grissom, Phillip Edward Grissom, Moody Grissom, Rex Grissom and John Grissom; his great nephew, Phillip Edward Grissom and his grandson, Clyde Kenneth Study, III.
He is survived by his six daughters, that he referred to as his """"six-pack"""", Debra Study and her husband, Clyde """"Kenny"""" of Gulfport, Kaye Adams and her husband, Richard of Atlanta, GA, Mary Robinson of Gulfport, Phyllis Acevedo of Long Beach, Cheryl Ashley of Biloxi and Carol Peer and her husband, Robert of Biloxi; his seven grandchildren, Brandy Adams of Gulfport, Richard """"Rich"""" Adams and his wife, Shania of Oxford, Brandon Study of Biloxi, David John Acevedo and Bridget Acevedo both of Long Beach, Rachel Robinson of Gulfport and Corey Ashley of Biloxi; his three great grandchildren, Kendall Adams of Gulfport, Bryce Adams of Oxford and Kaylan Piet of Gulfport; his siblings, Doris Smith and her husband, Virgil of Millington, TN, Phyllis Levens and her husband, Terry of Gulfport and George Glenn Grissom and his wife, Cathy of Biloxi.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11:00am at Conn Cemetery in Long Beach.
