Robert J. Brown

Robert James Brown, age 89 and longtime resident of Gulfport, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 in Biloxi.
Mr. Brown served 26 years in the U.S. Navy Seabees, and was a veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War. He retired in 1987 as a Senior Chief Builder, after which he worked for the U.S. State Department as a consultant on the construction of U.S. embassies around the world.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jane (Gleason) Brown; and his brother, Fred.
He is survived by his four sons, Robert of Red Bank, NJ, Michael, and his wife Elizabeth, of Denver, CO, Kevin, and his wife Linda, of Breckenridge, CO , and Dennis, and his wife Melanie, of Monroe Township, NJ; and four grandchildren, Gretta, Jessa, Shannon, and Ryan.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 1, 2015, from 9-10:30AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi. A graveside will follow at 11AM at Biloxi National Cemetery. The family would like to thank all of Bob's friends that helped him through his difficult times.
