CMSgt Robert Cowan ""Bob"" Booher, U.S. Air Force, Ret., age 82, of Gulfport, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 24, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virl Cowan Booher and Frances Vesta Booher, and a brother, Paul Edward Booher.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elsa Blackwell Booher, a daughter, Patty Gale Booher (Ron) Reid, a brother, William (Betty) Booher, 2 grandsons, Brian Smith and Kevin Smith, his brothers-in-law, Don (Lisa) Blackwell, Charlie (Elease) Blackwell, a sister-in-law, Beverly (Buddy) Brown, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of faithful service to his country. He also retired as a broker from John Phillips Real Estate. He enjoyed working with computers and spending time with his family. He belonged to the Gulf Gardens Baptist Church and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
A special thank you to St. Joseph Hospice, especially Richard and Pricilla, and Keesler Medical Center Hospital for all the care he received over the years. Also, a special thank you to his hairdresser Lisa Huber and a special thank you to Pauline Blackwell for the care she provided for him. Another special thank you for his 2 nieces and nephew, Kimberly Albritton, Renee Fox, and Charlie Blackwell - 3 Angels on Earth - in his time of need, you were there.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015, from 10 - 11 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will be at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
