Barsumian, Robert Dorsey, age 96, of the Armed Forces Retirement Home passed away January 8, 2015 at Gulfport, MS.
Mr. Barsumian was born in Evanston, IL. He was an electronics technician with the FAA at O'Hare Airport, Chicago, IL and also with Rockwell/Collins International, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served in the US Navy during WWII as an aviation chief radio technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nazareth S. Barsumian and Jennie Christhilf Hebblethwaite. Father of Bruce R. Barsumian, of Cookeville, TN; grandfather of Brian Barsumian and Brenda Barsumian; and great grandfather of Autumn Barsumian.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Armed Forces Retirement Home Chapel, 1800 Beach Blvd, Gulfport, MS. Friends may visit 30 minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 3959
