Robert "Bob" Samuel Barnes, Jr., age 57 of Gulfport, passed away on February 3, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his father; Robert (Martha) Barnes, Sr., and his step-father, Laz J. Lopez.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Suzanne "Susie" Barnes; his daughter, Kristian (Zane) Janak; his son, Robert "Robbie" Barnes, III; his two grandchildren, that he adored, Grayson and Loralei Janak; his mother, Charlene Lopez; his siblings, Roberta (Lonnie) Shelton, Jayne Clay, Charles (Lauren) Barnes and Stephen (Angela) Barnes; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bob was an owner of Associated Food Equipment and Supply where he served in many trade organizations. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and he also served on the board of Feed My Sheep.
Bob was a very active member of the community and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was very passionate about his family and grandchildren and spending time with them. He loved so many things in life. He always loved working on do-it-yourself projects, fishing and being out on the water, working on his property, and riding his big blue tractor.
Bob will be missed by so many people, who loved him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Feed My Sheep or Trinity United Methodist church.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 12:00 noon until the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
