Robert Wayne Armstrong, Jr.

Robert Wayne Armstrong, Jr., age 65 of Escatawpa, MS passed away February 22, 2022.

  He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Ann Armstrong; his father, R. W. Armstrong, Sr.; half-brother and sister, Joel Armstrong, and Christina Leigh Armstrong King.

  He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Yvette Morgan Armstrong Doeschor; and his daughter Ali Armstrong Emerson (Joshua); his sister, Katherine Yvette Doescher Chaput; half sister, Suzanne Williams Weindell (Chris); He leaves loving and precious memories to his grandchildren, Chloe Emerson, Levi Emerson and Brooklyn Emerson and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

  He was a native of Biloxi, MS and a resident of Escatawpa.  He was employed at Ingalls Shipbuilding in the PC Department for over 42 years and begin his career there in the apprenticeship program and was named the apprentice of the year all of those years ago.

  Robert loved fishing, boating, going to his camp on the Pascagoula River and as a young man he loved fast cars and motorcycles.  He was a Mason, Masonic Lodge, Pascagoula, and was a member of Church of Christ when he was able to attend.

  Robert will be remembered for his kind heart.  He would always help his friends with any request.
