Rita A Sannes

Rita A. Sannes, age 90, from Pass Christian, passed away on March 27, 2014 in Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond Sannes; her parents Joe and Cecilia White Nunez; sisters, Imelda Bulot, Mary Theresa Colgan, and Audrey McElwee; brothers, Joseph Nunez, Leo Nunez, Jack Nunez, Sydney Nunez, Labaron Nunez, and J.J. Nunez.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Maitland-Mace of Bella Vista AR; her son, Dean Raymond Sannes of Hattiesburg; and a sister, Dorothy Dubos of Metairie LA.
A native of New Orleans, LA, she had been a resident of Ashland, WI since marriage. She had been a winter resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 20 years, and a full time resident of Pass Christian, MS since 1997. She was a member of the Contract Bridge Association, and served as the President of the Council of Catholic Women while living in Wisconsin. While serving as the President, she had the holy honor of meeting ""Mother Theresa"". She also served as the President and a member of the Penthouse Condominium Association in Pass Christian, MS.
The family wishes to thank her special friends and caregivers for their love and care for Rita.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Committal Rites will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS, at 12:30 p.m.
