Rita Daub-Pitts

Rita Daub-Pitts, age 69, passed away peacefully in Ocean Springs, with her family by her side, on December 5, 2011.
Mrs. Rita Daubs-Pitts was born in Schweinfort, Germany and has been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 38 years. She worked at Keesler Air Force Base (Food Service) as a cook serving the military for 14 years, loving her job and co-workers.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Kilian and Adelheid Treutlein; her former husband, James L. Daub, and a son, John C. Daub.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Braxton R. Pitts of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Erika Gosser of Louisville, KY and Gertrude Carter of Lake Charles, LA; her sons, James A. (Debbie) Daub of York, PA, Edward L. Daub of Ocean Springs, and Donald L. Pitts of Yorktown, VA; her daughter, Deborah M. (David) McLaurin of Ocean Springs; her grandchildren, Morgan Daub of York, PA, Natasha St. Arnaud of Saucier, and Gerrod McLaurin of Ocean Springs; her great-grandchild, Kaylee King of Saucier; her goddaughter, Annette Colletta of Lake Charles, LA, along with other nephews, nieces, relatives, and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011, from 10:00am until 11:00am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. A graveside service will follow at 11:15am at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
