Rick D. Dawson, age 52, resident of Gulfport, died, Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Dawson graduated from MGCCC Jefferson Davis campus with a degree in nursing. He worked in all local hospital's emergency rooms as a trauma nurse and was an EMT with AMR. He also worked for the Harrison County Sheriffs Office, Long Beach Police Department and Biloxi Police Department were he worked with the K9 unit. Mr. Dawson was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Dawson is survived by his father, Richard W. Dawson of Gulfport; mother, Beverly Lindsay Dawson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Dana Leigh Dawson, of Gulfport; sister, Debbie Allison of Bellefontaine, OH; brother, Michael Dawson, of Ojai, California; two nephews, Chris and Andy Allison of Columbus, Ohio.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 1-2 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
