Richard "Dick" Neideffer

Richard (Dick, Papa Dick) Neideffer, age 88, passed away on November 24, 2021.

Dick was born on November 21, 1933 to Everett and Ruth Neideffer in Decatur, IL.  His youth was spent in Decatur until enlisting in the US Navy out of high school. After a distinguish 20-year naval career, he retired and became a “snow-bird” spending half of each year in Gulfport, MS playing golf in ideal weather conditions.  This life-style decision led to him meeting Bob and Frances Comeaux in Gulfport who had a lasting impact on Dick’s life.  After Bob’s death, he and Frances fell in love and were married for over 20 years until Frances’ death in April of 2021.  During that time-period Dick also accepted the Lord into his life and was baptized.  Their last 10 years together were spent as residents of the Bay Cove Retirement Home, in Biloxi, MS.  At the time of his death, Dick was a resident of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS.  His stepchildren, Ron Comeaux, Wendy Hayward and Connie Gibson will always remember the warmth and care he provided to Frances, their mother.  Rest-In-Peace Dick – You earned it.

A graveside service will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
