Richard Whitaker

Richard G. """"Dick"""" Whitaker, age 80, of Biloxi, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Biloxi.
Mr. Whitaker was a long time resident of Biloxi. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the US Air Force and was a recipient of the Silver Star. He was also retired from Civil Service at Keesler AFB. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Dick was a loving husband, father, and friend, and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margit Whitaker; his son, Rick Whitaker, and his parents, Oval and Jessie Whitaker.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Kristen Whitaker, and her mother, Sandy Johnson. The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers Nancy, Keyun, and Rita.
Friends are invited to visit on Monday, April 28, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Inurnment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
