Richard """"Dick"""" Wassman, age 70 and a resident of Long Beach, died Sunday, December 9, 2007, in Gulfport.
Mr. Wassman was born June 14, 1937, in Fulda, MN, and was a Mississippi Gulf Coast resident for over 45 years. He served in the U. S. Navy for eight years and had been with Teledyne Corporation, Mason-Chamberlain, and Boeing Corporation for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Long Beach and was a member of the Solid Rock Sunday school class.
Dick Wassman is deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him; a man of great loyalty to his family and his city, state, and country.
Mr. Wassman was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Evelyn Wassman. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Wassman, of Long Beach; son, John Wassman, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; daughter, Amie McCullough Ladner and husband, Ryan, of Long Beach; and son, Mack McCullough and wife, Crystal, of Gulfport; and two grandchildren, Reagan and Colton Ladner.
Visitation will be at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, today, Tuesday, December 11, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 12, at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
