Richard Thomas "Tommy" Foley, Jr., age 31 of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Jeri Gremillion, Walter Foley, Emily Turan, and Harmon Turan.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 8 years, Alexis Broussard Foley of Long Beach; his parents, Rick and J.J. Foley of Gulfport; his son, Louis Walter Foley of Long Beach; his siblings, Elizabeth Hegwood (Jared) of Pass Christian, Caroline Gumpenberger (Aaron) of Nashville, TN, Emily Foley of Gulfport, and Will Foley (Meagan) of Nashville, TN; his nephews, Jackson and Dylan Hegwood of Pass Christian; and his niece, Willow Gumpenberger of Nashville, TN.
He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and University of South Mississippi. He worked as a Service Writer and Internet Manager at Foley RV Center and as Sales Manager at Turan Foley Motors.
Tommy was a dedicated musician specializing in guitar, electric bass, and composition. He loved all genres, especially jazz. Tommy was a Life Teen Band member in middle and high school and was also a member of the Boy Scouts.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and uncle. “What do you wish you were? Do you wish you were the light from every star? Nobody knows, but maybe that is just what you are.”
Donations may be made to Tommy’s preferred charity, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.
