Richard C. Spink, 62, known as “Dick” by family and friends of Pass Christian, MS passed away on February 3, 2025, with his wife by his side.
A beloved husband, father and grandfather, Dick is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Linda Spink; his children, Chrissy Spink (Tim) and Richard Spink (Kira); was known as “Apy” to his grandchildren, Chevelle, Jack and Bryson; and is also survived by his four siblings, Sandy, Dan (Dawn), Tracey (Jim) and Squeak (Jack) from New York.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Spink and his mother, Lillian M. Spink.
A proud retired U.S. Navy Seabee Equipment Operator, he served his country with honor from 1981 to 2002. He later worked as owner/operator of Spink Trucking, as a City of Gulfport Utility Partner/H2O employee, and Weaver Electric. Dick also worked with Cruisin’ the Coast as site manager for Cruise Central and officiating the Burn Out event for many years. Dick retired in June 2024.
A man with many hobbies, he was an avid bass fisherman enjoying many days on his boat and loved his RV to travel with his wife and camp with his family and friends. He built antique hot rods and attended car shows with his “Rat Rod” and the Chevy truck he built his wife. He also enjoyed wood working, reading, cooking, talking on the phone and riding his grandchildren around on his many back yard toys.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and shared adventures. His devotion to his family and his strong character were unwavering. He took great pride in his children and great joy in his grandchildren and was known to boast about them often.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am – 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi, MS, 39532. Graveside service with military honors will follow at 12:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.
