Richard Allen Price, 76, of Diamondhead, MS, died December 22, 2011, in Bay St. Louis, MS.
He was born October 1, 1935, in Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Ray Clair Price; step-daughter, Margie M. Blamble; step-son, Russell R. Bienvenu; and his parents.
Survivors include his stepson, L. A. Bienvenu, of Austin, TX; siblings, Bill Price, Ray Price, Patty Johnson, and another sister; step-grandchildren: Brandie Ball, Martie Holman, Jeralyn Bienvenu, Amanda Carson; and step great-grandchildren, Joseph Holman, James Holman, and Kennedy Carson.
Richard spent most of his youth in Montana and Tacoma, Washington. After 3 years in the Coast Guard, he pursued a career as a civil engineer with Boeing, Avondale Shipyard, and the Pascagoula, MS, shipyard. His passion was in the design and building of large boats and ships. Richard had two loves in his life, Ray Price, to whom he as married for 31 years, and Ms. Jo Shannon, the Lady of his life for the last 12 years.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Diamondhead Community Church on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Diamondhead Community Church, 5301 Diamondhead Circle, Diamondhead, MS 39525.
