Richard Wayne Ladner, Sr.

Richard Wayne Ladner, Sr, age 74, of Lizana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May, 18, 2024.

He was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Ladner; his parents, Hillman Ladner and Beurisa Shaw Ladner; and a great-grandson, Mason Price.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathy Westbrook Ladner; his children, Rickey (Lisa) Ladner, and Sherelle (Billy) Egan; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Ladner was born and raised in Lizana and was a 1967 graduate of Harrison Central High School.  He was the owner of Twin L Construction for 43 years and he served as a deacon at Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting (especially elk in Colorado) and deer hunting (running dogs).  He loved his wife dearly and his family, church family, and friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 6 – 8 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  The funeral service will be at 11 am Thursday at Temple Baptist Church where friends may visit from 10 – 11 am.   Interment will be in the Brandon Ladner Memorial Cemetery in Lizana.
