Richard Boyd Groat, age 70, of Gulfport, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 in Gulfport.
Mr. Groat served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a draftsman in construction and he enjoyed BBQ's with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Groat, and his parents, Boyd and Dorothy Groat.
Survivors include his children, Ron (Lynda) Groat, Diane Groat Compton, Raymond (Donna) Groat, Randy (Kara) Groat, Dennise (Ricky) Humfress, and Darlene (Mark) Cuevas, 1 sister, Arlene Zeuner, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 N, Gulfport. A graveside service wll be held at 12:30 pm Thursday at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
