Richard Fetters

Richard Michael Fetters, age 68, passed away on September 18, 2018 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Indianola, IA in 1950 to Kenneth Dale Fetters and Mariam Cozad Fetters. He was a long time resident of Gulfport.
He was retired from the United States Navy and the Naval Construction Battalion Center of Gulfport. He was currently a member of VFW Post 6731, and past Commander of District 1 and VFW Post 3937. He was a Nascar fanatic and loved fishing, golf, and his cats.
He is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carol Hardtner Fetters of Gulfport; two daughters, Julie Stewart Mavar (Matthew) and Debra Stewart; six grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Fetters.
A funeral service will be held on Monday September 24, 2018 at 12:30 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Interment will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery, immediately following the services. A reception will be held at VFW Post 6731 at 3:00 PM.
