Richard W. Durost, age 70, a resident of Biloxi, formerly of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 in Biloxi.
Mr. Durost was retired from the plumbing and heating business and the former owner of the Gator Diner in Gautier. Owning a diner was his lifelong dream. He was an avid softball player, and he enjoyed the casinos and playing golf. He loved all of his family very much and will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Pratt.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Theresa Ellis of Biloxi; 4 children, sons Steve Durost, PhD and Mike Durost, and daughters Chris Costa (Tom), and Kim Alhman (Mike), all of New Hampshire; and 5 grandchildren, Ciara, Cailyn, Tommy, Griffin, and Emily, all of New Hampshire.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49, Gulfport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Nikki's Dream 141 Union Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
