Richard Alan Drummond, 53 years young, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 5, 2021. His life was full of love, laughter, and many adventures. Richard is a published author of a book that shares his personal struggles and how he helped save many lives during Hurricane Katrina and offers a message of hope. He spent many years as a Landscape Architect business owner on the Gulf Coast bringing beauty and joy to many homes, businesses, and communities, including the Bay St. Louis Bridge. He was once named Mississippi Hometown Hero for an amazing act of kindness shown to a stranger. His life will be measured by the amount of love, compassion, and giving nature he shared with those of us lucky enough to have known him.
He will be missed by those who remain behind, and we will rejoice when we see him again. He is survived by his wife, stepchildren, parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. His fur babies will most certainly miss him.
Richard was passionate about helping animal shelters. If you wish to donate in his name, it would continue his compassion for those in need.
