Richard R. Cuevas, age 73, of Kiln, passed away on July 13, 2019.
He was preceded in death by a son, Heath Cuevas; his parents, Oliver Cuevas and Ouida Cuevas; siblings, Monvel Cuevas, Bonnie Cuevas, Patsy Smith, Brenda Ladner, and Ray Cuevas.
Mr. Cuevas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Niolet Cuevas; his children, Scottie (April) Cuevas, Tasha (Jess) Favre, and Keshia (Bo) Necaise; 3 siblings, Sarah Shaw, Gay (Connie Ray) Ladner, and Paul (Brenda Sue) Cuevas; 9 grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Vinnedge, Josh (Valerie) Cuevas, Meghan (Chris) D'Angelo, Zachary (Kristen) Favre, Chase Favre, Jace Favre, Howard Johnson, Ethan Necaise, and Mason Necaise; 9 great-grandchildren, Laci Cuevas, Connor Cuevas, Madi Cuevas, Ashlyn Garcia, Brantley D'Angelo, Grayson D'Angelo, Rory Vinnedge, Mollie Vinnedge, and Grace Favre; a very special friend, John Ora Necaise; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Cuevas was very active in numerous organizations on the coast including organizing the Harrison/Hancock Little League and softball programs, helped organize Boy Scout Troop 324, the Big Buck Hunting Club, the West Harrison County Jaycees, member and past-president Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Parish Council, former member of Pass Christian School Board, member of Harrison County Farm Bureau board, charter member Most Holy Trinity Knights of Columbus Council 11995, early member of the West Harrison Volunteer Fire Dept, and he worked in construction at Roy Anderson Corp, Irby Steel, Continental Construction, and Hancock Bank maintenance department.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 10 am - 12 pm at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm in the church.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian, is serving the family and online condolences may be offered at www.riemannfamily.com.
