Ricardo "Rick" Moore

Ricardo "Rick" Moore, a cherished resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born on November 21, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was a former resident of the Gentilly neighborhood in New Orleans.

Rick retired after a commendable career as a machinist with the Times Picayune Newspaper, where he was known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. His contributions to the industry served as a testament to his skill and determination.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Rick proudly served from 1954 to 1957 aboard the USS Cabildo. His time in the military instilled in him values of honor and commitment, qualities he carried throughout his life.

Rick is remembered fondly by his surviving family, including his step-daughter, Brenda Meyers, and her husband Jerry; step-son, Rodrick Rodriquez; numerous step-grandchildren, step-greatgrandchildren, and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Kippers Moore, who brought joy and companionship to his life, as well as his parents, Homer and Mildred Moore, and one sister.

Visitation for Rick will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, with the visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until 11:00 AM. The funeral procession will depart at 11:00 AM, going to Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach, for the Graveside Service at 11:30 AM. Honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy. 

Rick Moore leaves behind a legacy of love and service, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
