Renee Barbara Salsberg, 68, and a resident of Long Beach, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017.
Ms. Salsberg was a native of Brooklyn, NY. She served in the U. S. Air Force from 1966 to 1968 with the Strategic Air Command at Omaha, Nebraska. She received her BSN Degree in Nursing and she worked at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport as the House Supervisor and in the NICU and Acute Dialysis.
Ms. Salsberg enjoyed cooking, home decorating, Bunco and was a member of the ASPCA. She gave so much, yet asked so little. Her heart was so big that she shared herself and her love with everyone, and every animal, she ever met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Nell Jenkins and Gerard Maurice Salsberg. She is survived by her two sons, Timothy J. Salsberg (Karen) and Edward W. Gazell (DeeAnn); her three siblings, Sandra S. Breindel, Donna L. Markovic and Steven Rinkel; and her grandchildren, Jordan Salsberg, T.J. Salsberg, Danielle Salsberg, Cason Salsberg, Brittany Dye and Faith Dye.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, where friends may visit one hour prior.
Interment with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
