Rena Krol

Rena Anne Krol, age 75, of Long Beach, passed away on January 24, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Alexander G. Krol, Sr.; her father, Alexander Mowatt; and her mother, Helen Mowatt.

Mrs. Krol is survived by her children, Cynthia “Cindy” Teague and her husband, Carl “Ahab” Teague, Jr. and Alexander “Al” G. Krol, Jr. and his wife, Melissa Bowie Krol all of Long Beach; 4 grandchildren, Susanna Teague Wilson and her husband, Jason Wilson, Maddy Teague Devlin and her husband Patric Devlin, Alex Krol, III, Adam Krol, and Abigail “Abby” Krol; 2 great-grandchildren, McKinlee Grace Wilson and Annie Faith Wilson; and other relatives and friends.

She was a native of Frankfort, IL and was a long time resident of Long Beach. She earned a Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Marine) from the University of Southern Mississippi and later retired from the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Krol was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach.

She was a loving and gentle Mother, Grandmother and Friend who enjoyed life to the fullest with her many talents. Her interests included quilting, baking, gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. After retirement she became a faithful volunteer of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and various ministries at FUMCLB.

As we are unable to gather at this time, please celebrate Rena's beautiful life in a way that honors her and brings you joy.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport for providing wonderful care to our loved one in the most difficult of times.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the First United Methodist Church Long Beach (The Oaks) or Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
