Reginald A Parnell (Reggie) died February 29th at Ochsner's Hospital in New Orleans at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Thelma Dambrino Parnell, his three children, Regina Parnell Mathison and her husband Keith Mathison, of Lawrenceville Georgia, Tommy Parnell and his wife, Rebecca Parnell of Pinehurst, Texas, and Russell Parnell of Gulfport, Mississippi, as well has his three grandchildren: Sarah Parnell Wade and her husband Richard Wade, Sam Parnell, and Savannah Parnell, all from Texas. Also surviving him is one sister Millie Henton of Mobile, Alabama and one brother Allen Parnell, of Citronelle, Alabama along with many nieces and nephews. Reggie was a member of Hansboro United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge of Hansboro. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Merchant Marines. He retired from Keesler Air force Base after 32 years. He loved his family dearly and his family loved him. Visitation will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11AM-1PM with the funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.riemannfamily.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hansboro United Methodist Church.
