Regina Stringer Henley

Regina Stringer Henley, a beloved resident of the Kiln community, has passed away in Gulfport, Mississippi, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the age of 50. Regina was born on January 28, 1974, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Regina was preceded in death by parents, James & Sandra Stringer, and Joseph M. Bermond; her In-laws, Charles & Paulette Henley; as well as her late grandparents William Murl & Ruby Stringer, Sadie Weaver Jordan, Jesse Weaver, and Zadie Bermond.

Regina's life was a tapestry of meaningful moments and cherished connections. She graduated from Hancock High School, Class of 1993, and went on to dedicate many years of her life working for Henley Timber / Kiln Trucking. Although her career was important to her, Regina always said that her children were her greatest accomplishments. Russell "Boobie" Henley, her loving husband of 28 years, stood by her side through thick and thin, creating a partnership that was unbreakable.

In her spare time, Regina found solace in simple pleasures. She had a passion for collecting dolphins and bells from all corners of the globe, swimming, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom adoringly referred to her as Maw Maw. Regina's sweet tooth led her to indulge in her favorite candies, sweet tarts, and Ferrero Rocher, which she enjoyed daily. She also had a talent for writing poetry, keeping journals, and had a special fondness for the color teal. One of her cherished pastimes was sitting on the back porch, listening to her many songbirds that visited her bird feeders, and the sight of her chickens roaming around.

The memory of Regina will be forever treasured by her son, Austin James Henley (Shaylynn), daughter Samana Henley Taylor (Hunter), and grandchildren Braxton Charles Henley, Brooklyn Taylor, Hayden Taylor, and Brayden Taylor. She is also survived by her mother, Carolyn Stringer Bermond, and siblings Christie Stringer Trosclair, Vance E. Stringer (Candace), Michael Stringer, Brenda Stringer Prosser (Steve), Laura Heggins-Strode (Chase), Gregory Bermond (Betty), and Robin Chiniche Whitfield. Additionally, Regina will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, who affectionately knew her as Nee Nee.

To honor and celebrate the life of Regina Stringer Henley, a Memorial Service will be held on August 16, 2024, at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, Mississippi, from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM.
