Raymond L. Jourdan, age 73, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on March 11, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Jourdan was a native of Lancastor, Ohio and a long-time resident of Biloxi. He was a disabled veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Vientam War. He worked at Southeastern Correctional Institution as a Guard.
Ray loved his family and friends with all of his heart. He was a hard worker and loved a "bargain." He was a social guy who enjoyed nothing more than conversation and coffee and he always had a good story to tell. He was kind, compassionate, caring and generous and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Jourdan; his father, Robert Jourdan; his sisters, Kathy Enmon and Shirley Megehey; ;and his brother, Jimmy Jourdan.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Catherine Jourdan; his sons, Justin Jourdan (Jessica) and Nathaniel Jourdan (Darla); his siblings, Robert Jourdan (Mary Jo), John Jourdan (Chris) and Carolyn Sue Martin (Stu); his grandchildren, Zachary Jourdan, Adler Polk (Christina), Brianna Polk and Kayley Polk; his great-grandchild, Rosa Polk; and many nieces and nephews.
Ray will be laid to rest at Biloxi National Cemetery.
