Raymond Joseph Graft, age 75, of Diamondhead, passed away on January 9, 2011 in Diamondhead.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph F. Graft and Marie E. Graft; and his mother in law, Ursula S. Marto.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine M. Graft of Diamondhead; two children, Ralph Graft of Kenner, LA and Emile Graft and his wife, Terri, of Slidell, LA; four grandchildren, Joshua W. Graft, Brandon E. Graft, Erica S. Graft, and Zachary A. Graft; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the American Legion. He was an auxillary police officer with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department and was associated with the Diamondhead Volunteer Fire Department since its inception. An usher in the catholic church in Metarie, Kenner, and Pass Christian, he was given the Layman Christian Award by Bishop Brodi, Diocese of Biloxi. He was a scout leader in Kirkwood, MO, Metarie, and Kenner, LA. He was a member of REACT and RSVP.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 20111 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Williams Catholic Church, Pass Christian. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans.
