Raymond Bender, Sr., age 87 of Long Beach, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Mr. Bender was a real cowboy. He participated in numerous rodeos, road bulls and even won all around cowboy one year. He won a custom made saddle, and he knew everything there was to know about horses. He trained and broke horses and if you asked his daughter, Deborah, she'd tell you he was the original horse whisperer. Horses were Rayond's number one passion. Deborah said, "I like to think he's in heaven riding his favorite horse, Musical Red."
