Ray Harold Ladner, age 78, of Long Beach passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Ladner graduated from St. Stanislaus in 1947. He retired after over 20 years as a Lt. with the MS State Tax Commission. He also work for the Highway Patrol in Tylertown, MS for a few years. He enjoyed traveling with family out west, especially Montana, visiting neighbors, telling stores, Bluegrass music and playing the harmonica. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Bessie Ladner; his brother, Jerry Ladner; his sister Iris Prins; and his son-in-law, James Daniel. Survivors include his his loving wife of 57 years, Una Ladner of Long Beach; his daughter, Denise Daniel of Long Beach; his son, Reg Ladner of Long Beach; his sister Linda VonAntz of Florida; and his grandchildren Alanna Daniel and Jason Daniel both of Long Beach.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd. Long Beach. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at the church prior to the Mass.
Interment will follow at Rotten Bayou in Diamondhead.
