Ray Robert Garriga

Ray Robert Garriga, age 80, of Pass Christian, MS was born May 7, 1931 left his earthly home to be with his Heavenly Father with his family by his side on Friday, March 30, 2012.
Ray was an angel here on earth and had a loving and caring heart and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and loving him.
Ray worked at Olin Aluminum Plant for 17 years, Diamondhead Golf Cart Maintenance for 9 years, and Garriga Golf Carts for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Bertha Faye Garriga; two sisters, Dorothy Montgomery and Grethel Patenotte; and a granddaughter, Heidi Lynn Garriga.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Maude Fern Garriga for 56 years; a loving father to Mitch (Peggy) Garriga, Robbie (Kathy) Garriga, Lisa Garriga (Rhonda Hamilton), Liz Howard; a loving grandfather to Michelle Garriga, Amber (Scott) Wiese, Danielle Bordes (Randy Hedderick), and Gabriel Garriga; and a loving great-grandfather to Zack King, Hunter Wiese, Hannah Wiese and Chloe Hedderick.
We will miss our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. The earth is a little less bright without him, but the heavens shine with him.
Our family would like to express a special thanks to family, friends, and to all the wonderful nurses with St. Joseph Hospice for all their compassion and support.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, with the funeral service at 1:00 pm,Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
