Ray Lamar Feemster, U.S. Navy, Ret., age 74, of Saucier, journeyed to his final resting place on Wednesday, August 17, 2011.
Ray served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and retired as a Chief Builder. After his naval retirement, he owned and operated a cabinet shop and was a contractor. Then he served as a member of the Construction Surveillance Teams for USATREX International until 2005.
Ray was a member of the VFW Post 4526 in Gulfport and the NRA. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a mentor to many people and he will be sadly missed.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Verna Feemster.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Billye J. Feemster; children, Terri Simmons, of Houston, TX, Vickie Simmons, of Saucier, MS, Ret. Lt. Col. Daniel R. Feemster of Atlanta, GA, and Rhonda Feemster of Fresno, CA; and his grandchildren, Amy Beard, Steven Beard, Mitchell Simmons, Jamie Simmons, Kyle Feemster, and Anna Feemster.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011, at 12:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
