Ray G. Blackwell, Jr., age 64, of Long Beach, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
Mr. Blackwell retired from the U.S. Army, having served two tours in Vietnam. He was an active member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and Holy Family Parish.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Blackwell and his father, Ray G. Blackwell, Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Margret Blackwell; 5 children, Patrick Blackwell, Angela (Marvin) Cuevas, Nicole (Mike) McIvor, John (Megan) Blackwell, and Jessica Blackwell; 7 grandchildren; and brother, Jeff Blackwell.
Family and friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
