Randy Vogel

Randy A. Vogel, age 65, a native of Chicago, IL passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Diamondhead, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph W. Vogel and Nancy A. Vogel.

Randy is survived by the love of his life for 15 years, Kathie Pierson; daughter, Jacqueline N. Vogel; siblings, Ralph K. Vogel, Janet Pawlowski, Joyce Miller, Ricky Vogel, and Jennifer Staples.

He attended Oak Park River Forest High School (OPRF), where they won the High School Hockey championship in 1974; after high school he worked as a property manager, golf pro and a youth hockey coach. Everyone knew him because of the once in a lifetime experience of a hole in one on the golf course in November of 2021.

Randy enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, and bowling. He really enjoyed spending time with family (especially Jackie), friends and his two canines, Coach and Rosie. He was a Cubs, Blackhawks, Notre Dame football, Riverman Hockey, and Peoria Chiefs fan.

He was an Elks Member, previously with Elks Lodge #20, and currently Elks Lodge #606; Sixteen years were spent as a active member. He also belonged to the Diamondhead POA.

Randy’s favorite saying was “Life is Good”

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
