Randall Slocum

Randall Wayne Slocum, age 53, of Long Beach, passed away on October 16, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joyce Slocum; and a brother, Ricky Slocum.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel M. Slocum; his children, Tyler Wayne Slocum (Sadie), Logan Jace Slocum, and Finley Owen Slocum; 2 sisters, Tina Smith (Mark) and Julie Slocum; 2 grandsons, Connor Tillman and Brock Slocum; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Randall retired from the Gulfport Fire Department as a lieutenant, Graduated from Jefferson Davis Jr. College with an Associate's Degree/certification in HVAC, and was a member of Southern Star Lodge #500. He enjoyed working out at the gym, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
Randall was a wonderful son, brother, husband, dad and friend. He had a jovial spirit and always had a huge smile on his face, never meeting a stranger. He will be greatly missed. We hope that all who knew him will join us to celebrate his life and legacy.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 6 - 8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach.  The funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery with honors to be provided by the Gulfport Fire Department.
The family would like to thank the Gulfport Fire Department, Harrison County Sheriff's Department, family and friends for support. Special thanks to Dr. Allison Wall and nurses at Memorial Cancer Center; and Brittany, Logan, and Sarah with Kare-in-Home Hospice for providing loving and compassionate care.
