Randal ""Randy"" Guillot, age 53, of Long Beach, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012, in New Orleans, LA.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Guillot, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Guillot, Mr. and Mrs. Nella Stutes, and Mr. Roaule Whittington.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Guillot, his 2 sons, Joseph Guillot and Adam Guillot, his parents, Lawrence and Lou Ella Guillot, his siblings, Wayne Guillot, Carlton (Judy) Guillot, Glenn (Cindy) Guillot, and Shevon (Kyle) Gee, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and numerous special friends.
Randy was a native of Crowley, LA and has lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast most of his life and considered it home. He worked for Hancock Bank as a Ground Maintenance Supervisor, and later co-owned Groundscape before owning and operating GroundPro. Randy and his family are members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where he served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and volunteered at several fall festivals and other church functions. He also participated in the Cursillo Movement of South Mississippi working several weekends at the ""Dedeaux Hilton."" In 2003, Randy served as King Scott for the Carnival Association of Long Beach. He served many years as a football and baseball coach with the Long Beach Youth Sports Association. He was active with the St. Stanislaus football and baseball programs supporting his 2 sons that participated in both sports. Randy's greatest love was his family! He was dedicated to his wife and 2 sons and he will always remain in their hearts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012, from 11 am - 2 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E. Beach Blvd., Long Beach, MS 39560. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm in the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials for educational purposes in Honor and Memory of Randy Guillot to St. Stanislaus College, 304 S Beach Blvd, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520, ATTN: Randy Guillot memorial.
