Ramona Stockstill

d. October 29, 2011

Ramona was a life-long resident of Biloxi. She was born Ramona Ann Derrington. She attended St. Michaels Catholic Church and St. Louis Catholic Church. She was always a devout Catholic to her last moment of consciousness.
She was married to and preceded in death by Patrick Donald Quave, Sr. with whom she bore sons Patrick Donald Quave, Jr. and Eric Theodore Quave. She was married to and preceded in death by Paul Ray Stockstill, Sr., MSgt, USMC Ret. and bore sons Alcus Hubert Stockstill and Paul Ray Stockstill, Jr. She is survived by all four sons, all of whom reside in the Biloxi area. She is also preceded in death by her mother Lillian Landry-Sudak,father, Ralph Derrington, stepfather Theo Savoy and stepfather John Sudak.
She is survived by her brother Sebra Savoy and sister Alice Shoemaker; grandchildren Jonathan and Jeremy Quave, Tessa Rose Stockstill, Justin Stockstill and E.J. Stockstill; Tiffany Jourdan and Rusty Fultz; daughters-in-law Teresa Mallett Quave, Sandra Stockstill and Eva Stockstill. She also had 4 great grandchildren.
Her family reaches far beyond blood relatives and anyone who had ever met her could call her ""mamma Mona"". Her heart knew few limits when it came to love or passion. She could be most outspoken and rarely bit her tongue. She never let her family end a visit without an ""I love you"". Her charity knew no bounds, often to the point of great self-sacrifice. Her council was wise and thoughtful. Her heart had room for all who chose to enter. Her love for family Boundless.
The stories we could all share about Ramona are so numerous, it would take volumes to list and even then would not do justice to the life she shared with all who met her.
Her passing, as sorrowful as it is, could not compare to the joys and graces she bestowed on those fortunate enough to have known her. We have suffered a great loss and God has called a treasure back in his arms. In Beatitudes, she has a place in each and every grace. All save one. She had the hardest time being meek. All who knew her can attest to that.
She will be missed and it may be some time to come before God graces us with another Momma Mona. May she rest in peace and God grant her eternal life!
