Ramona H. Geil, age 79, of Gulfport, departed this earthly life on April 20, 2009 to join her late husband of 50 years, David P. Geil, Jr.
In addition to her late husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, John Hogan and Bertha Hogan; and her brother, Clifton Hogan.
She is survived by her two sons, David P. Geil, III and his wife, Denise, and Verlin """"V.W."""" W. Geil and his wife, Nancy, all of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Johnathon Bret Geil of San Marcos, TX, Ashley Rene Geil of Long Beach, Michael Brandon Geil of Memphis, TN, and Jenifer Shropshire of McHenry; and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Geil was born in Eupora, MS on April 2, 1930 and moved to Gulfport in 1950. She was employed by Western Union Telegraph Company as a bookkeeper. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Gulfport.
Memorials may be given to the Baptist Children's Village, PO Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
