Ralph J. Maisano, III

Ralph John Maisano III, 67, of Woolmarket, MS passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024. Ralph was born December 26, 1956, in New Haven, CT. He began working at a young age for his father and grandfather’s liquor store, Maisano’s Package Store in Connecticut. He then had a long career in management in the gaming industry. After he retired, he worked with his son, Jonathan, at Maisano’s Fine Wine and Spirits in Ocean Springs, MS, where customers loved sharing conversations about wine and whiskey with him.

Ralph loved to cook, especially grilling, baking bread, and making New Haven-style pizza, which his grandkids loved. He also loved animals, especially the family dogs: Bamboo, Akamaru, Bear and Kira.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Louise Maisano; brother, Michael Maisano; and his beloved son, Frank Maisano. Survivors include his sister, Laurie Shea; son, Jonathan (Jennifer) Maisano; and grandkids, Kaitlyn Maisano (12) and Lucas Maisano (7). He is also survived by Audrey DeCesare, his lifelong friend and companion, who was by his side until his last breath. Ralph and Audrey had known each other since childhood and remained very close throughout their lives, even after divorce.

Ralph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, generosity, and passion for life left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of wine and whiskey with friends and customers over the years, creating lasting memories over shared conversations.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, West Jackson County, is serving the family. An online guestbook may be signed and memories shared at www.riemannfamily.com
